Sarah, I thought it was funny that you wrote about traveling back to Italy at the same time I was writing this. I love trains also and always regret that we don't (any longer) have more of them here in the States. You can move around a bit more in the airport, but it's always nice to take a break and watch the countryside speed by through the train window. I've read that night trains are making a comeback in Europe. I've never ridden one, but I think it would be neat to do so sometime.
My husband and I took the night train to Prague for our twentieth anniversary, and it was the most romantic thing ever. It’s so magical to wake up somewhere completely different.
